About me

I was born in Belgium (°1962) to Polish parents.

During the eighties I studied Linguistics at the University of Louvain and Applied Economics at the University of Hasselt.

Ten years ago I started painting out of an intuitive and playful need to experiment with materials and colours. Expressing myself through paint has become a way of communicating that feels both amazingly natural and naturally amazing.

My painting style is playful, colourful, and multi-layered in both technique and meaning. Whereas most of my works are abstract, some of my paintings contain striking figurative elements. I like to refer to my paintings as ‘landscapes of the mind’, or as ‘paysages spirituels’.

Colours and layers have metalingual qualities to me. They allow me  to go beyond words and express subtle emotions in a visual form. My works flow from the heart, transcending other forms of expression.

I have organised several solo exhibitions and some events in combination with other artists. Occasionally I participate in group exhibitions.
